VUSSC is currently working with The University of the West Indies (UWI), Trinidad and Tobago to build capacity and develop policy leading to the advancement and use of Open Educational Resources (OER) among Faculty and academic managers. As part of the project, Commonwealth of Learning consultant and UNESCO Chair in OER, Prof Rory McGreal is in Trinidad and Tobago to facilitate a 3-day in-person policy development workshop. Following the workshop, he will deliver a Distinguished Open Lecture on the UWI campus.
